Indonesian fried rice is maybe the national dish. We had many versions of it during our trip there in 2016. Our guess is that every household's recipe is a little different than the neighbor's, so mess around with it. The flavorings are crucial: sambal oelek, kecap manis, and some heat (not too much) from those little red peppers you find in asian food.
