SLOW COOKER CALICO BEANS

Easy, make ahead for a crowd

Ingredients:
8 slices bacon, cut into 1-inch pieces
1 pound lean ground beef or turkey
1 small chopped onion
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon dry mustard
2 teaspoon cider vinegar
½ cup ketchup
¾ cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 - 8 ounce can tomato sauce
1 - 20 ounce can pork & beans
1 - 15 ounce can kidney beans, drained
1 - 15 ounce can lima beans, drained
1 - 15 ounce can butter beans, drained

Directions:
In a skillet, cook bacon until limp but not crisp. Remove cooked bacon & place in slow cooker.

Drain bacon drippings from skillet , then brown ground beef or turkey until meat is no longer pink. Put beef and remainder of ingredients into slow cooker, stir to combine.

Cook on low for 5 hours.
